The guitarist’s interface for the iPhone™ and iPod touch™
This
must-have accessory allows you to plug your guitar directly into your
iPhone and 2nd Gen iPod Touch (simultaneously with your headphones) for
use with all guitar applications.
The guitarist’s interface fuses your instrument with your iPhone – Now the possibilities are as endless as the apps on your phone. With the Guitarbud even the simple Voice Memos™ app (that comes with your phone) can be used to record riffs or songs anywhere – instantly email your track to your friends. All your apps become more powerful – use your iPod tuner in a noisy crowded bar, record your next tune on the multi-track recorder that’s as close as your iPhone.
Designed specifically for guitarists by Bond Music Research makers of PRS Signature Series Guitar cables used by leading guitarists the world over. Guitarbud is lightweight, flexible, and easily fits in your pocket. More than a simple adaptor, this 6 foot special instrument cable allows freedom of movement when you play, and links your headphones with your instrument.

1. Insert the Guitarbud’s ¼” phone plug into your guitar.
2. Insert the 1/8” mini-plug into the headphone jack of your iPhone.
3. Insert your earbuds or headphones into the 1/8” mini headphone jack.
4. Select the free Voice Memo app on your iPhone.
5. Strum your guitar and you’ll see the input meter move on the Voice Memo app. With this app, you will not hear your guitar until you play back your recording. (If the meter does not move, ensure your guitar volume is turned up and that the 1/8” mini-plug is inserted fully into your iPhone.)
6. Since there is no “Input Level Adjustment” on this app, simply use the volume knob on your guitar to adjust the recording level.
7. Press the red record button on the lower left side of the app, you are now RECORDING! When finished, press the record button again… recording has been paused.
8. To hear your recording, press the “list” button on the bottom right corner of the app, here you see your recordings listed by date and time. The most recent recording will start playing automatically. You can listen through your earbuds using the Guitarbud Interface set-up, or the built in speaker on your iPhone by unplugging the Guitarbud from your iPhone’s headphone jack.
1. After recording yourself using the above method, go to the Voice Memo app and select the “List” button on the bottom right corner of the app.
2. Select the recording you would like to email by touching it.
3. Press the “Share” button on the bottom left corner of the app.
4. Press the Email button.
5. Enter an email address and then press Send in the upper right corner of the app.
6. You’ve just emailed your guitar recording from your iPhone… How cool is that?
1. Insert the Guitarbud’s ¼” phone plug into your guitar.
2. Insert the 1/8” mini-plug into the headphone jack of your iPhone.
3. Open up any of the multiple apps that have a guitar tuner.
4. The Guitarbud has turned off the internal microphone, and is now, only allowing your direct guitar signal to enter into the iPhone.

6. Surrounding noise will no longer interfere with tuning, when using the iPhone!
The jack in the 1st Generation iPhone is recessed deeply into the device, making it inaccessible to most headphones (and teh Guitarbud™), despite the headphone jack being standard. This means that the Guitarbud™ like standard headphones headphones won’t work with the1st gerneration iPhone without an adaptor. You can use the Guitarbud™ with a 1st Generation iPhone with any of a number of adaptors including:
